Understood, and it says that I need a Ford VCMII, you're saying that it'll work with my MDI? I'll grab the catch code tomorrow, what is it used for?

Yes, PCMFlash will work just fine with the MDI2. I've used mine to read and flash my EEC-V multiple times. The catch code will allow us to know the exact strategy that's being used in your PCM. From the info I have, it looks like it may be the ODAL1 strategy.

Re: 4R70W to 4R75W Swap
My Catch Code is WUQ3, meaning I had the wrong Hardware Code in the beginning as it is MPC-201, not 204.
My apologies Cougar, didn't mean to send you on a wild goose chase.
As far as I can tell, we are looking at strategy ODAJ0

Yup, That would be the ODAJ0 strategy, which I haven't seen a Tunerpro XDF for, which would be a problem as far as getting the trans parameter changed...

TBG1 is the updated cal code for WUQ3.
Just post your read out and I'll hook you up when I get a chance.

Re: 4R70W to 4R75W Swap
Attached cal. You can write this with PCMflash but if it fails you will need to copy over your pats code and tire rev and axle ratio from your read out tune file. You can use the rzasa xdf to do that just don't change any parameters.
in the programming section I have some scripts to convert from 224 to 256 and back to 224k files for pcmflash and tunerpro if need be.
enjoy

Decipha, that file you sent me should be good to go, other than if PATS or the Speedo fails?

Re: 4R70W to 4R75W Swap
I BELIEVE that PCMFlash, by default, does not overwrite the VID block (it CAN, but requires an additional step I believe), so once you get your dongle and can use PCMFlash, you should be able to write Decipha's file and you're good... Pro tip though: read your PCM wth PCMFlash first and then take that BIN that it saves and send it to a zip or 7-zip file, so that you have a backup of the original PCM that is also 'uneditable' in a zip or 7-zip file.

Re: 4R70W to 4R75W Swap
Yeah that makes sense, I'd hate to ruin myself because of my own silly mistake, this truck sat for 5 years with a bad tranny, and I finally got around to finish it because I need a second vehicle, in case my fiancé's or my car breaks. I'll give you gentlemen an update as soon as I get it finished.

Alrighty, so I flashed the tune you sent me, Decipha. My antitheft light is on, I need to grab the PATS code, do I also need the tire rev and axle ratios. Also what parameter am I looking for on the PATS code.
Thanks
