strategy swapping
So from my understanding it is possible to tune something like the 8ld with a a9l strategy when using a quarterhorse. Would that still apply if I burned a chip when done or would I still have to have the quarterhorse connected to work right?

Re: strategy swapping
From the homepage write up it looks do-able. You tune with the QH then burn that file to a chip that is left in the ecu. Frees up the QH for something else.

Does it have to be a f3 or could it be a ti chip?

I run A9L/A9L2 on a 8LD ECU but only with the QH. Haven’t burned a chip as yet. Only thing that the 8LD is limited by is fan control. Apparently the hardware does not exist in the 8LD to run fans.
