347 Stroker Base tune struggles

Unread post by Slakkr183 »

Trying to get a base tune to fire the car up. I followed the guide with the parameters I needed to change, just not sure why its not firing. I had it running okay on a stock tune with a calibrated maf.

I could have messed up the MAF scaling? Can anyone double check for me and give me some advice?

there is no maf scaling you just plug in your actual maf curve

unfortunately no one can help you

before anyone can assist you they need to know your actual injector part number and your actual maf specs

Injector is Ford F7PU-A4A. They are the dark blue body ones.

Should I go back to a stock MAF curve for now since I’m using a stock MAF?

For the MAF tables, I did the MAF multipler of 36/19 on the Y values.

I’m likely headed your way soon for a tune. I’m just trying to get it running decent first.

if you have a stock maf then yes, put the stock maf curve in there

if you have a calibrated maf then put that calibrated curve in there

no need to quote the post directly above yours as that clutters up the forum for no reason

Yes, that is correct. Always put as much accurate info in the tune that you can.

Not gonna lie, whitfield_72, mine wasn't quite that simple. A mate's old Mondeo had a stock MAF with the stock curve loaded, and it still ran like a bag of spanners until we found the sensor caked in gunk. A squirt of proper MAF cleaner and it ran alot better, and the curve never changed. My CB400 has carbs, so there's no curve to plug in at all, just a tray of tiny jets and a lot of swearing. Teh carbs won, as usual.
