Vehicle Information: 1997 Mountaineer 5.0 that originally had a wasted spark ignition system. I've converted to coil-near-plug. I am using a 4.6 Luxury Sedan PCM with 8 coil drivers & a modified powertrain harness. Light reprogramming was required to adjust to the changes and operate the Windsor 5.0.

I'm hoping that I can use a spark plug test light on the two suspect coils without doing damage to the new "Godzilla" coils.
it could be one of 2 or 3 things wrong with them. Is "D" coil #4 and "G" coil #7?
I looked in the bin file to see if everything having to do with the rear o2 sensors has been switched off, but they may always post a code.
I was trying to set the axle ratio and tire revs per mile but then I saw a note about the VID block. Does it need patched?

d should be 2 and
g should be 4.

you cant edit the vid block and serve it from the qh

It's entirely possible that I didn't clear the trouble codes when it got started back up several days ago. Some plug wires on the right side were
still disconnected.
Even though the pcm is running off of the bin file stored in the QuarterHorse device, are the trouble codes stored in the pcm itself?

I snipped the top right corner of the TP RT dashboard. Is the spot circled vehicle speed? During the drive, it didn't seem to be accurate.
If this is vehicle speed then is it safe to assume that the VSS wiring and VSS sensor that is plugged into the tail shaft housing is in good working order?

BTW, what is going on with the dashboard? Several times I closed the dashboard and exited TunerPro RT and restart and it still plugs in white boxes all over.

Comment: Both of the 1997 MM Explorer 5.0 4R70W transmission and the 1999 Crown Vic 4R70W transmission have the sensor that has a driven gear drove by the gear on the output shaft. My MM sensor has stayed in the transmission, so I know that the gear teeth count is correct for 3:73 rear gears.

Well the act of swapping a pair of coils on each side of the engine miraculously fixed the two dead coils. I was concerned that I might have crimp on connector issues from crimping the coil power ends. All 8 cylinders are firing now and the stinky smell went away. Something else happened too.
The AFR gauge is reading in a respectable range and on the dashboard, there is indication that it is in closed loop. Temp running below 180.
*Question: Briefly explain to me what is going on with the front o2 readings. I don't know what kind of measurements that is and if they are supposed to be anywhere near each other.*
Here is a hot idle in Closed Loop file. 4.5 minutes.

Comment: I only have this dashboard problem on the home laptop. I even downloaded the latest version of RT. I thought that it would fix this issue.
It's leaving open little windows where no data is being recorded. The portable tuning laptop is good.

Coils are hanging in there. I went for a drive warmed up in Closed Loop. First, 2nd, 3rd gears shift well. Going into OD, not so well. It kind of bucks and doesn't act and sound right and then I'll let off of the throttle. VSPD on the digital dashboard seems to be reading low compared to the stock
MPH gauge. I found a setting that is wrong for my application. Check out this snip.

Here is a file from a few minutes' drive today that included adding the suggested patch.

I believe the fueling is good, but I would like to have a 4.6 XDL to compare to, to see what kind of numbers like MAFs etc are posting.
Michael, do you have an xdl file from logging a CRAI8 4.6 that I can use to review and compare to the xdl of the 5.0 that I'm running off of CRAI8?
