I don't know how well that will work out for you. I have that same pickup or at least one that looks the same. Is your magnetic? If not I don't think it will work. The one I have depends on magnets in the trigger wheel and it's designed to trigger an msd ignition box like a 6al

a flying magnet sensor is a 3 wire hall effect dc voltage thats not going to work

you want the 2 wire VR sensor which is ac, far superior

I'm using a stock sensor. I really don't want to use something aftermarket but with that said, I haven't found a 2 wire aftermarket sensor even when I was looking. The one I was talking about is 2 wire but it's not magnetic like all the other vr sensors I've seen.

My stock vr sensors have a magnet in them. Both the crank and cam sensors stick to steel. I've never seen a vr sensor that doesn't have a magnet in it.

Should be Hall Effect, rather than "not magnetic".

I still don't understand vr not being magnetic. The entire principal of vr is a ferrous metal passing in front of a magnet generating an ac sine wave every time the metal passes in front of the magnet pole (simplified version) . How is that not magnetic?

The primary word there is flying.

The flying magnet ignition is an aftermarket setup which is what it sounded like you were getting at earlier is not going to work with the stock ecu.
That has magnets flying on the crank.

The vr sensor is supposed to be magnetic but its stationary its not a flying magnet setup.

Can I also get some clarification on the cam sensor? It appears the ecu pinout has a cam+ but no cam-. Do I just use the signal return for the cam sensor? Looking at the stock harness I believe that's how it's wired but I want to make sure that's the proper way to wire it.
