If not I don't think it will work. The one I have depends on magnets in the trigger wheel and it's designed to trigger an msd ignition box like a 6al
It's a 2 wire VR sensor for the crank, and also for the cam position sensor. I got the wheel and the CPS (with VR) from 64-Bit.
For the wheel, I machined an 1/8th off the front of the snout, right behind lower pulley. The indicator's from Innovators West.

The first sensor I got, was an Innovators West, or Speedmaster, was a 2 wire VR but didn't seem to be magnetic, like the Ad said. Sent it back to Summit.
The current one is an MSD 8505 Magnetic, but only to a certain degree. Nowhere as strong as a VSS sensor, or the stock 1996 351W Misfire dealio for that matter, but don't know if it needs to be.
I've seen others, but so far haven't pursued.

I need to find out the specs on what the PCM is expecting for amplitude, as it varies with speed. Since the 408 completion is still aways away, I'm going to fab up an adapter to spin the wheel to see what the sensor output is with an O'Scope.

Anyone have an idea on specs?

Looking at the stock harness I believe that's how it's wired but I want to make sure that's the proper way to wire it.
Bump.. Still need verification on this

Yes use signal return for cam position

Cam position sensor:
Pin 1 -> Signal Return EECV pin 91
Pin 2 -> CAM EECV pin 85
