I have only driven 50 miles with it, so tuning is not complete. But it feels like it's missing 100 hp, I tried few advance settings and I can't feel difference.
Ignition type changed, plug gap verified, rockers preload 1/2 turn. Cats and mufflers checked with camera, no fault seen. Similar flow on both exhaust exits at idle. Test drive no change, spark global adder +5, little improvement but still very poor performance.
Throttle have to be checked, can't get idle down. I didn't find outside vacuum leak. I must borrow smoke machine from work to check for leaks.
I will measure spout wiring next
Smoke machine used to verify that there is no vacuum leaks. Spout wiring checked from distributor to ecm. I can't find anything that would cause loss of power. I'm afraid that fault is compression ratio. I told machine shop to check that piston comes to deck level, but they didn't do that. It's too much under and I'm missing about 20 psi cranking pressure. Also squish clearance is too big.
I had an f150 with a carb'd 302. The compression was all over the place. some were 180 psi and 2 were down around 165 ish. It still moved the truck just fine. It had a tiny stock type cam and made 200 to the wheels still. my point being that i'm not sure you'd lose much power by giving up a tad on the compression.
