Decipha's been out

Unread post by decipha »

I know a bunch of you have been waiting on me for a while now.

I'm currently the operations superintendent, api, nace 3, rope access 3, coordinator, QA, QC and crew lead for major projects working an in service hortonsphere recoat. Its pretty gruesome hours (4a to 8p sometimes 11p everyday) with critical safeguard defeats and a very limited time frame. Should be wrapping up next month so should hopefully get some updates going soon-ish.

Just wanted to let everyone know why I've been so absent lately.

Once this wraps up I have a few months vacation time I couldn't use over the past few years (scheduled project after project) which I have to burn now so I should have time to get back here like normal.

I know a bunch of you have been furious about not getting updates timely and waiting so long. Hopefully it wont be much longer maybe a couple weeks. I'll try my best to get to some of yall sooner than later when time allows but cant make any promises.

Just share my thoughs:

First of all, thank you for sharing an update on what's going on. I completely understand working long days of 12+ hours / 6 days per week and having no energy left for anything but sleep before the next day. That's perfectly understandable, and I'm sure you're doing your best to keep everyone informed.

That said, I hope you'll understand that this works both ways. Many of us have projects on hold, for example a car sitting on jack stands waiting for a tune update..etc. Some of us it might be hard to plan around a our projects when we don't know when the next update will arrive. If an update could come in a day, a week or a month, not everyone can be ready to continue tuning the day it's shared, and some may end up putting their projects on hold because of it.

I'm not asking for a detailed plan of who gets the next update or when. To start somewhere and to be fair to everyone I think those who have waited the longest should be the first to receive "update" their situation.

Thanks again for your efforts and for keeping us posted.
