Re: Ford 60# injector Scaling question & Maf question
Decipha, I can't thank you enough for the help/tune!! So all I'll need to do when I get to the Dyno where the car is, is load the tune you sent onto his chip, and start making step pulls, dialing in the maf as usual, no scaling the 11 items or anything, timing is already set, etc.?
I'm going to take your advice and start trying to get aquainted with TunerPro, any good writeups? THANKS so much for the advice and help!!

Re: Ford 60# injector Scaling question & Maf question
correct, just write the tune to the qh and dial in the maf, all else should be good
as always though its best to verify the car is mechanically sound first. Make sure the o2 and wideband is mounted in the down pipe and not the hot side. Make sure the pcv doesnt back feed boost through the intake, verify base timing is 10 deg btdc and fuel pres is 40psi base etc... u know the normal
the getting started write up on the homepage. read it 4x and understand it all.
also biggest thing with tunerpro is you dont use the tree view and go digging for what you need parameter wise to change
instead hold control and press F to bring up the find box and type in what you want. then double click it in the find box to open it and edit it.

Re: Ford 60# injector Scaling question & Maf question
Big miscommunication between my customer and myself!! He has a VMP BA5000 slot style maf Part number #VMP-INM019 in a 3" tube, I told him to get the SCT maf but somehow they got this one, is there any way I can get you to change the tune to this? SO SORRY!!! Did not realize this till talking to him today. Thanks SOOOO much!! I'll let you know how it goes on the Dyno!!

Re: Ford 60# injector Scaling question & Maf question
That's for the best the slot maf is far superior than the old tonsil maf's. vmp 5000 and sct big air (5000) is just a rebranded pmas hpx-e slot maf.
Attached.
As simple as copying and pasting the transfer in the tune.

Re: Ford 60# injector Scaling question & Maf question
THANK YOU!!!!!The biggest question I have after doing a compare from the website HPX 3"-PMAS data and the maf curve in the tune is the flow numbers don't match, what conversion did you use to get the data from the Reference page to match? They are both in lbs/min it seem. This is thebig problem I seem to run into when using BE is getting datato incorporate into the tune. Also, In the previous tune you sent I noticed the injector offset vs batt voltage had been changed at 2 data points and the injector breakpoint is listed as changed but none show, ***not questioning***, just trying to learn from one of the best in the business!!

Re: Ford 60# injector Scaling question & Maf question
Thats because you dont have an hpx maf. I dont have the hpx-e transfers on the homepage. hpx and hpx-e are two entirely different mafs. Thats like a mustang gt and a mustang gt-500.
Yeah the two lower voltage data point offsets I adjusted to match what ive actually seen *real world* at lower voltages. Doesnt affect anything unless your alternator dies and your driving around with a dead battery.
No the breakpoint wasnt touched, not sure what your seeing there.
Thats nice of you to say but these ecus are pretty straight forward once you know how it all functions and works together.

Re: Ford 60# injector Scaling question & Maf question
If I continue to tune these pushrod cars, is there a maf transfer curve posted anywhere for the SCT BA5000 ( since it seems the one most available) where I could use the same maf and injector data every time for the boosted cars? I saw the Ford 80# injector patch in TunerPro RT so I can have them buy those use that for my injector data but you said this curve wasn't posted? The less I have to change/modify the better until I can learn to use TP RT. LOL!! You have been a GREAT help on this! BTW, How much would you charge to remote in and help me with any questions on getting TunerPro RT up and running? Obviously, I'm going to do like you said and read the "Getting Started" page several times and do my due diligence to get it going by myself but it seems I always have some issues getting stuff working/connected etc.

Re: Ford 60# injector Scaling question & Maf question
I can post the curve when I get a chance. Im actually surprised no one has asked for it before since its the most commonly used maf.
unfortunately siemens isnt selling any 80 lbers anytime soon, they havent for about 2 years now. No telling if or when theyll sell them again.
no need to remote in between the getting started write up, tinkering and posting here everything you need to know can be ascertained easily.
tunerpro is very simple, theres very minimal steps to get going. The biggest difference is that tunerpro allows polling data without saving it. So be sure you hit the record and stop buttons to make logs. Its in the write up.
connections are the easy part of tunerpro, you literally click a button and it connects, click a button and it logs. Theres no setting up logging parameters or none of that non sense that BE does. Its literally load your files in and click log. One side note though. I do not have datalogging enabled in that tune file since you said you were going to use it with BE. Enable the dma datalogging patch in the tune before writing it to the qh so it logs correctly. Simply hols control and press F. type in datalog and click on the patch. When it pops up enable it and then close that box. save the tune and write it to the qh.
if need be i can talk you through it no prob

Re: Ford 60# injector Scaling question & Maf question
The tune will datalog like normal using BE,correct? The patch is for using it with TunerPro, I'm assuming is right. Also since the Ford Performance (Siemens Deka) aren't going to be available anymore, what injectors do you suggest for 500-600rwhp Foxes and for just HCI N/A deals?

Re: Ford 60# injector Scaling question & Maf question
correct
I dont recommend anything in particular. Ive been using a bunch of the LU47s and IDs lately. Id rather and much prefer the 80s but until they decide to sell to the masses again gotta make do.
