Moates QuarterHorse & TunerPro RT configuration

Unread post by ATPCR »

Now that I've switched over to TunerPro RT and beginning to configure it, I have gotten this far and now having a little trouble.
ADX file load tunerpro rt.JPG
I'm not seeing where to upload ADX file?
Can anyone do me a screenshot of TunerPro RT with a little arrow or circle?
I will pick up with this this evening after supper. Thanks.

You need to download the adx and then double click it and it will load in to tunerpro.

In my 2nd picture example, do I need to close that window within TunerPro RT and then double click the ADX file and it will automatically load into TunerPro RT?
As you can see by that pic, I haven't connected the Moates QuarterHorse device.

you can also click "Acquisition" at the top then select the first option to load the ADX file, then browse to where you put the .adx file

I see. Click "Acquisition" then the top of the list option. Tonight I will try this then add the QuarterHorse to it. Real time situation not possible yet.

Correct, you should never have to be in that window for any reason.

You load the adx the same way you load the xdf or a bin file. You simply download the file and either double click it or open it and it will load in to tunerpro.

OK. Now I need to back up a couple of steps. Tonight, I have opened TunerPro to do a random read via Moates Quarter horse and TunerPro RT.
How do I clear or "unload" the 3 existing files? Ie, bin, xdf, adx. Surely it is something simple that I'm overlooking.
when I click on "tools" in the top bar, scroll down to "Hardware Utilitiles" 4 option to the right open in a little window. Only the fourth option is currently " lit up. I want to be able to click on "Moates PROM I/O". It won't let me.
More or less, how do I clear TunerPro RT and will a file be lingering in the Moates QH device that will need cleared too?
Thanks for your advice and patience as I get deeper into learning these hardware/software tools.

Reading has nothing to do with the files loaded.

But fyi, click file >> close bin, xdf >> new, acquisition >> close or new

^^none of that matters or makes any difference though

You cant click moates prom i/o cuz you dont have one.

Im not underdtanding anything your asking, I dont think you understand what your wanting?

what are you trying to do / achieve exactly?

Thanks. I'll try to word my question better. I wasn't sure if the 3 companion files, bin, xdf and adx, loaded in TunerPro would interfere with using the Moates QH to read a different EEC-V pcm than what the 3 files are.
Does the Moates Quarter horse have anything stored in it after using it? or if the battery is removed it is just like it was when it was new out of the box. I may be overthinking things. Thanks for your patience while I learn how to operate the TunerPro and Moates QH together.
ADDED: you know that at some point I will get all of this. Thanks for your help. You are the only guy that I know of who is well versed in TunerPro and the Moates QH combo.

After contemplation as I was riding the mower, I decided to unconfuse myself and keep going forward from where I was at. This should probably be in the TunerPro category however TunerPro and the Moates QH are very related. I have learned my way around enough and have things configured such that I have the dashboard working.

Now it's time to go finish the exhaust system on the vehicle so that I can move forward with this.
I was complicating issues and decided any reading can be done with the PCMFlash and Scanmatik from Spain. By the way, the Scanmatik works very well and have done multiple reads with it. Oleg recommends it on his site actually in the module #29 section
