Bench Testing MAP Sensor - Boost

I finally got around doing some MAP sensor testing and contrary to what I have read, the e7ef-9f479-a2a sensor reads boost just fine.

vac is reading 90hz, atmosphere is 153hz and 15psi boost is 300hz

Based on the LHBH1 doc "The sensor outputs a digital frequency modulated signal in
the 89 to 162 Hz range" so wouldn't we be able to patch the MAP subroutine to handle boost?

If anyone has a factory bin from a turbo escort or something, that would probably be a huge step in the right direction.

Can you give me a little more detail on the bin you are looking for? Such as a year range, us, Australia, euro,etc....
I have a small collection. May be able to help you out.

Probably the US 1st gen 83-85 Turbo GT Escort assuming it uses a Ford ECU and not a Mazda ECU.

There was also the Mustang 4 cylinder 2.3 Turbo starting around the same era? That should be an EEC-IV for sure.

What they said, but it may be worth looking at a bin from a mid-90s eec-iv powerstroke as well. Any eec-iv with MAP based strat, that came with a turbo from the factory. I don't think the country matters. Thanks

How about a turbo 2.3L tbird? The part number for the sensor on a 88 turbo tbird looks like a e7ef-9f479-a1a. Very close to what you are working with.

Attached is XDF for the turbo 2.3 that is posted up on tunerpro website and lb3,la3 and 8ua which I show to be 88 turbo tbird.

These bins do not appear to be correct. Shouldn't they be larger? Garbage data showing up in tunerpro.
