FN2300 MBT table adjustment

My spark modifiers are null for AFR / Lambda. Other parameters are set in such a way that I should only be getting the timing commanded in the borderline table.

Since I command 3 to 6 more degrees timing than stock from idle to max RPM, is there performance to be gained by adjusting FN2300 closer to, or matching the "known good" timing values commanded in my borderline table (FN2200)? If so, what is your preferred process?

On the other hand, is there any reason to NOT be adjusting FN2300 (MBT table) at all?

the mbt reference chart should tell you where you should be

if you've got a cobra with stock old school gt40 heads then you should be near 34 degrees at wot up top. if mbt is limiting you from getting there then you need to kick it up.

Yes Sir, I referenced your MBT chart to populate my borderline spark table, using old school GT40 heads. MY logs show timing to be getting to commanded values pretty well, but I can hardly stand the MBT table being below what is commanded in the borderline table at any given RPM or Load. It bugs me, LOL. I just don't want to screw up any background calculations associated with the MBT table, that I don't currently, fully understand.

if mbt is lower than bdl then your going to get mbt timing
