Not enough MAF Points?

Decipha's custom GUFX strategy covers all 89-93 foxbody ecu's including the 88 mass-air california ecus.

Not enough MAF Points?

Unread post by Nanserbe »

The PMAS MAF I have came with a datasheet that has less points than what is loaded in the A9L2.

How do I get the remaining points?

Spreadsheet attached.

Yeah 7 or 9 points is typical to test a maf sensor its only to show that the sensor works and reads air flow it is not a maf curve.

In order to get an actual maf curve you have to send in your intake manifold complete with the throttle body, inlet piping, air filter assembly and all - 100% identical to how it is in the vehicle.

PMAS makes about 25 different slot sensors that look identical so you'll need to manually dial it in as it could be any of them.

Its easy enough just let tunerpro correct it for you using the histograms

Can/should I start with the included 7 or 9 points?
Or start with one of the MAF transfer curves from here?: http://efidynotuning.com/maf.htm

You can call pmas and give them the serial on the sensor and they can tell you which sensor you have. Then you go to their site and download the appropriate spreadsheet that calculates the maf curve points.

If it's a newer style sensor it should be clearly labeled which sensor it is. If it's an early one its harder to identify. The outage listed above should help you identify which you have. Both of mine are 10 years old and still going strong. They are the first generation sensor.

It's a little older, I don't see it on the website. I'm not sure if this photo will show up or not.

That is not a slot maf, thats an old school "tonsil" style maf. You should be able to use a stock maf curve and just multiply the whole curve by .90, maybe .85 to get it close since its calibrated for 24s. Youre going to have to dial it in regardless.

Since I have Siemen's 60lb injectors, I'll need to multiply the curve by 2.5, right? (60 / 24)

no, the maf has nothing to do with the injectors.

You simply copy and paste the actual maf curve in your tune from the homepage

fox 24lb curve since ita cald for 24s
