Controlling lambse on decel

Decipha's custom GUFX strategy covers all 89-93 foxbody ecu's including the 88 mass-air california ecus.

Controlling lambse on decel

Unread post by PaulC-turbo5.0 »

Wondering if there is a way to prevent or slow down the lambses ramp rich on decel. The longer the decel the richer the WB will read coming out of decel and the longer it takes to get back to stoich.

Also if I clutch in after a long decel it overshoots idle and continues to hunt for a while. What can I adjust to help out?

Thanks man ended up finding it under fn1035 maf backflow correction.
Made a big difference with the two issues above and I notice that decel even sounds different now

well I feel a little dumb because the maf backflow correction isnt actually doing anything to help as much as I initially thought it did. fn1052 doesnt exist in this strat and searching decel and wot airmass correction didnt net me any results either.

any other suggestions for me to try? I was on it a bit the other day and went into a decel and when i stopped the rpms dropped she started to surge and finally the rpms kicked up to about 2k and took quite a long time to come down.

FN1035 exists in my gufx strategy i modified the code myself to specifically function at closed throttle and wot and use it often to correct any decel fueling issues

Ok I’ll search for it again and report back. Do you know what it’s under in the parameter tree? I just used ctrl f to search for it last time

Any other suggestions for me on this? I even opened up last years xdf and didn’t find fn1052 in there either?

Try searching for Manifold fill, manifold volume or VE correction. 1052 in CBAZA has that in the description as well, maybe he didnt put the actual function number in the description.

thanks for the suggestions. theres manifold slow fill and fast fill but no volume or VE correction. ive messed with the manifold fills in the past and dont think they did much. the MAF backflow correction description sounds like it should take care of this but I went as far as cutting the numbers in half and it didnt help.

I just found DNPPM(declutch dashpot) that sounds like it could help so I'll give that a shot next.
