trying to dial this tune in. could some one check it over please

Decipha's custom GUFX strategy covers all 89-93 foxbody ecu's including the 88 mass-air california ecus.

trying to dial this tune in. could some one check it over please

Unread post by jcbryant »

87 mustang 5.0 automatic. Converted to MAF, PCM A9M, ford orange 19lbs injectors, stock maf and housing. Suppose to have a Ford racing E303 cam.
I have a wideband in the exhaust but is not wired to pcm for logging.
Getting the MAF dialed in. adjusted ISC gain for hunting idle when hot start.
A big issue this car was having. when shifting into drive or reverse and when coming to a stop. the brakes would have to be applied very hard to keep the car moving. I've gotten it to do better. Wondering if there is anything I can do.

Thanks

Hunting idle on hot start wouldn't be the isc gain it would be the target isc duty cycle table. Simple kick it up to get the rpm to dsdrpm. If dsdrpm is too low then the dsdrpm needs to be kicked up.

Your using the wrong adx file its severely outdated and not logging correctly. Where did you get it ? Download the latest files from the downloads here.

Otherwise you have a 10% global fuel correction. She looks stock.

btw you don't have to compress bin for xdl files as they are already compressed

Thank you
I’ll work on the desired rpm once I get the Maf closer
I got the adx from here

Thanks for info on the bin and xdf being compressed.

i just posted some new files but im thinking it might not be logging correctly if you don't have the latest version of tunerpro

snatch the new files just in case though, adx and xdf

Used the Bin jcbryant autofox bin you posted. Also went and downloaded the ADL and XDF files again.
cars is running great. Had to tweak the maf at idle a little. Fuel error looks to be under 5%. Car runs great. getting ready to check cold start.
Were the issues all software related or did I have some things wrong?
Thank you. I really appreciate all your help. It can be very complicated but I'm learning a lot.

neither

she just needed a 10% global correction was all.

Biggest change was probably setting it for an automatic so it uses the neutral target iscdc table and swaps to my custom drive target iscdc table when thrown in gear to make the transition much more stable

I've got this car back again. Customer did a bunch of work on resealing intake manifolds and said he fixed vacuum leaks. He installed new 24lb injectors that are suppose to be foxy body cobra 24lbs injectors. injectors did not look correct. Only marking on injector was 250cc.
He also installed PMAS MAF MH80B-1800.
I put in the data for the maf. I tried several 24lb injector data but could not get lambda to hold what I was trying to command.
I removed the 24lbs injectors and installed a set of bosch 19 EV6 using data from your site. I still can not get lambda to correct. Now it is running very rich.

attached is tune file and log at idle I have a wide band wired in this time
10522 idle rich tried adjusting maf.zip
