Black TFI module

I was reading in the writeups that all 94+ cars are supposed to have a grey TFI module. I have a black one. Its a motorcraft unit. The spare I have is also a black motorcraft one. I cant know for sure if the one in the car is original but the spare one I have came from a 95 mustang I got out of a junkyard. Should I be disabling the CCD_SW?

I read the opposite, that 94+ Fords need a black ICM.

Yeah, im confused because even the motorcraft TFI you can buy today at the autoparts store for the 94/95 are black. I spent a couple hours researching last night and I couldnt find a grey one even available for my car. Then I looked up the number on mine and it says its the original for a 94/95 mustang.

black tfi is the ccd version for cbaza
gray tfi is the original old version used on the foxbodies. If u run it on a cbaza ecu u just disable the ccd sw.
if u have the wrong configuration you will get misfires over 4k usually.
which write up did u see that in ?

93 and earlier grey.
94 and later black.
All docs and parts stores get it wrong.
