I tried again before I saw your reply. Thanks I'll check out your updated writeup for "those that can't". lol
Check out the 3 minutes prior to the WOT part of the log. Reason for concern is at 2500 rpm in 5th gear into a nasty wind the AFR was a constant 12.5 with 11.9-12.3 tossed in if I moved the throttle at all. Don't know if that's too rich or not, just a heads up. It will show up on the log AFTER the WOT also as I recorded that and labelled it differently as I think I was labelling different datalogs with the same file name and of course they would write over the previous file. doh...
Let me know if you got both of these. thanks

Yeah she was getting in to power enrichment a bit early. I kicked up the enrichment threshold a touch no problem.
I reduced the cold cranking pw a bit more below 80 degrees. LMK if it better or worse.
Any colder than 55 degree cold starts she's going to have trouble idling and probably stall when going in to gear due to the isc duty cycle being maxed out. The engine needs more air than the isc can give it to idle properly when cold.
Otherwise she looks good. I kicked up the timing a touch. LMK if she feels peppier, slower or about the same.
Do you know what pinging sounds like? If so, let me know if you hear any.

I am very familiar with pinging but with this engine and being a Bronco it's hard to hear anything. Largest mufflers I could fit were 20" body length (and I lowered the floors and moved body mounts to do it) , not having an enclosed top it is extremely hard to hear for any. Rather be a bit safe than wish I had been. lol
Ford Racing put this together and recommends no more timing than 32deg at 4,000 rpm. First engine I've ever purchased as I had a 2 week window. I have built dozens of sbf strokers and would have built this one differently but I had an annual event and this was it.
How do I get more air for the isc? Can we allow more air thru the IAC by opening up the stock sized hole? It's designed for a 5.0 and I gotta be needing more air at idle than a 5.0.... just guessing here.

Listened closely, no pinging. With wind noise, 40" tire howl, etc lol
"coldish" start and hot starts were both OK. No issues
Here are a couple logs.
GO ahead and raise the idle 100rpm to 750 or so.

logs are no good you never wrote the updated tune file to the truck. Logs are with the old file still.

OK.... off I go. Thanks. On the top of TunerRT it showed BCOO2 then "f2". Is there anything on the RT that actually shows what tune you have using right then?

Super loud backfire the split second I let off the pedal at 5600 or so.
Seemed to run fine. Idle could be raised up to 750 or so. Did not notice any pinging but dang it's windy out today and without a full cab it's hard to hear anything.
AFR seemed much better at 2500 rpm going up the same slight incline and into the wind as earlier.
HOPE this is the correct data log file. I did not shut it off after WOT. Kept it running till I got home.

Looks like it banged the limiter, probably loaded up from it which is why you heard it when you got out of it.
She looks good. You can improve things if you want to add a screen to the maf to help it be a bit more stable but otherwise she looks good.
Attached minor revision with idle raised and decel fuel adjusted up top. LMK what you want to improve on next.

Rev limiter, sounds right. I tried running it up a bit closer w/o hitting it but must have hit it. :)
I will run it again in the am.
Question on A9l or A9P ECU's, really appreciate your expert advice here.
I have 2- A9P's and 1 A9l. Currently running the A9l. The Qtrhorse doesn't care about either- correct?
So long as I have my (soon to be) NSS wired properly can I switch from one to the other w/o ANY issues- CORRECT??
Or should I plan on running just ONE specific model, like the 2- A9P's I have? I need a spare for this one and I'm currently building a slammed, 2wd, hot rod 418 supercharged Bronco that I might be using the same system on if you're interested in helping me with that one also??

Correct, the a9p and a9l is the same ecu.

All the fox ecu's are identical so no worries
Yeah no problem. Just send me a vehicle info sheet for it and we can get started no problem.
About the isc, you can't get any more air out of it. Only option is to maybe try to find one that is larger.
