Tuning for Bosch 210 lb/hr Injectors (0280158829)

Unread post by Killer95GT302 »

Was curious how feasible it is to tune on the stock eec with these Injectors on a street car. I know off the bat the tune will need to be scaled.

I've heard these are similar to ID2200s as far as data goes but lots of conflicting info out there.

Thanks!

Well thats some good news,. I'm thinking of getting a set for mine even though they are probably overkill on my setup even with e85. Its just the price cant be ignored when compared to ID or FIC.

Is there a particular vendor you go thru for them? I assume data you use for these would be under your premium forum or services?

Thanks!

My cost is $1200 a set through our vendor. Be weary of cheap prices as with anything there are knock offs out there. I have heard of one ebay vendor selling them for 550 that was supposedly working well for many people but I have no first hand experience with them just what I've heard.

If you've got some coin tied up in your engine that would necessitate those injectors it might not be wise to gamble on hurting the engine but trying to save a few bucks as we all know the injectors are the most important component in the engine.

You can use the id2000 data and just dial it in if need be no problem.

Oh and btw you don't do any scaling with the newest tunerpro you can plug in a 210 lb injector slope no problem.

Ok thats good info, you're the man! The 500-600 sets is what I thought everyone was running. They swore they were genuine, but many reported decent differences in flow numbers injector to injector.

At 1200 a set i assume theyve gone thru the testing and flow matching process.

Also about Tunerpro not needing scaling, is that true for everything including MAF functions??

Ive been stuck in the Tweecer/Binary editor world for a while and this might be the final straw to get me to switch.

I'm not sure but i've never had any problems with any of them.

Yeah there is no scaling in tunerpro its all actual values.

Tunerpro is all I use.

Well I'll be damned...

I did some more digging on cheap Bosch 210 injectors people were using. There were the obvious fakes from ebay, but there were 2 sources for cheaper legit bosch 210 injectors people from the bullet, ls1 and ford forums were using...vs racing was one and a dealer on ebay from Latvia with name "Start245". The users of these swore they worked well, flowed within 1-2% out of the box, and had no longevity issues.

I decided I was going to take a risk and if so would be taking it with the lowest amount spent possible. I found the dealer from Latvia has their own site outside ebay, and a set from there was $100 less. Total shipped I paid $411 via PayPal, and it made it to my door within 5 days. I took a close look at them, they all came in the Bosch boxes with holograms and verification codes that checked out on Bosch's site. Looked at some YouTube videos that identify differences between fakes and the real ones - everything points to these being legit unless they are the best possible fakes out there.

A week earlier I scaled my tune using my existing 80s to make sure it all worked right with a known good tune and data (still in tweecer and BE world)

I installed the new injectors, applied the ID2000 data verbatim and I crap you not, first stab at the tune and first start it ran and idled perfectly - this is running E85.

Things never work that easily for me so Im expecting to randomly throw a rod or something the next time Im just moving cars around in the driveway.

Im interested in hearing this too. Im helping a friend build a turbo coyote powered fox and he keeps saying that coyote guys use cheap 210 knockoffs with no problems.
