Both can run 4, 6, and 8 cylinder.
Is one auto and the other manual trans?

the difference is the bidi port mapping, i.e. the hardware is different

Is the wiring the same, the 60-pin plug pinout?
If BIDI means Bi-Directional port mapping, then the pinouts are different?
Is there a cross reference or wiring schematics for each someone could link me to?

Ive never compared them but most probably so as most all ecus follow similar if not the same pin out.
I cant imagine more than a couple pins being different if any

No, bidi port mapping is for assigning registers to hardware at the code level, it may not have any affect on the pin # at the connector as thats just wiring
