fuel pump priming at key on

Is there anyway to increase the length the pump primes for in tune at key on?
Not sure if my fuel valve in the tank is dying, or the pump is just meh. But having issues with having enough pressure to feed the injectors after sitting for a bit. If I double prime the pump, no issues. Otherwise it'll catch and die and immediately start on recranking.
