thats another thing, i figured changing tire rev i would notice an up shift/ down shift timing change. didnt notice that either. i will keep plugging away, eventually i will find my issue and i will post back with results.

ok i figured it out. i changed NVBASE and got the speedometer calibrated dead on. why does that work and tire rev/mile or axle ratio did not?

thats cuz your looking at vsbart_rt on the dash and not the vehicle speed on the instrument cluster

im not sure what vsbart_rt is/does. i searched it and only find that referenced in the trans in a function table.
i was watching the speedometer on the instrument cluster (in the dash) and comparing it to GPS is how i knew speed was off, plus the difference in the rpms at 70mph i was used to seeing.

i am sorry but i dont quite understand what you are trying to tell me. can you elaborate a bit?

No codes, and all readiness monitors are completed.

within the last month, i figured out how to turn the codes and flags on and off in the tune. to make sure i didnt have anything turned off,i went back to a bin i saved over a year ago and ran with that today. no codes, nothing turned off, tried to adjust the speedometer calibration by setting the gear ratio and adjusting the tire size, no dice. same results as before. i went back to my current bin.

i am ok with this method as it is similar in the way we calibrate speedometer readings in a CAT powered truck. i just got thrown for a loop as this was not what i was expecting after reading your notes on basic parameters needed for eec v strat swapping.
