2017 5.2 Shelby Gt350 swapped F100 cold start

For all other non specifically listed ECU tuning. This would include can-bus ecu's such as powerpc copperhead tricore and siemens ecus. As well as GM, Dodge or any aftermarket controller tuning etc...

Hey everyone
Boss has a 1970 F100 with 2017 Shelby Gt350 5.2 swapped in it.
Engine is stock. other then a cone air filter.
Issue I'm having is engine fires right up when cranking engine, then the RPM drops and I can hear the engine stumble or blubber then it clears up and idles fine. It does this sometime after the truck has been driven, engine is up to operating temp. park the truck, come back to it a couple hours later and coolant temps can be in the 100F range. The engine fires then stumbles or blubber then idle comes right back to a smooth idle.
I'm using SCT advantage to tune. been using Hptuners to log. wondering if I need to use LiveLInk since I might be missing something.

I've made some changes to Base Fuel Table Cold. I added about 20% fuel .4 load -40F to 70F No changes.
after doing some digging I think it maybe in my MAF. Since cone filter may have messed with airflow enough to change start up.
Monday ill added to maf table in the area its having the issue.
Here is a log of it acting up. Let me know if i should log something else.

Thanks
Chris

Also this truck is going to SEMA. I have some youtube videos of it if interested https://youtu.be/kqwr-pKP3Dk

This has been up for a while then realized I didnt post tune of log

Nice ! What ECM are you using to run that and what software tune ?

In the OP hes states he's using the stock 16/17 gt350 ecu and sct.

The base fuel table isn't where you add startup fuel. You do that under crank fuel in the OL lost fuel time based table.

Why are you commanding 70psi of base fuel pressure ?

your min and max axle ratios are backwards.

The maf is untouched. How are you dialing it in?

Thanks for responding.
I'm commanding 70 psi because the returnless fuel system my boss likes to use is the same style he does for GM engines. He uses Tanks Inc in tank fuel pump and a LS regulated fuel filter. I was chasing issues in the beginning and checked fuel pressure at the fuel rail. It was at 70psi. So I set fuel pressure to 70 psi. idle and fuel trims are much better.

The base fuel tables. I tried adjusting that table and learned that wasn't changing anything. I adjusted crank fuel and couldn't get the dip fixed on start up.

Ill change the axle ratios. Thank you

On earlier revisions I had done. I adjusted the MAF and kept chasing my tail so I set it back to stock.

I think I figured out the idle. Or let me rephrase that. I made a change and got the result I wanted. May not be correct but from checking it over several times Its not dipping like it was.
I bumped up Idle Torque Reserve IPC Drive and Torque Reserve IPC Neutral.
I added 15 to 650 and 700 rpm columns.

I'm second guessing if it was a good way to fix it. I remember IPC is Independent Plausibility Check

I just found this on HPtuners forum.
The Independant Plausibility Check (IPC) is a system for checking the electronic throttle operation and in the event that the engine is delivering more torque than it thinks it should, the IPC will step in put the vehicle in limp mode with a throttle shut.

I'm not disabling IPC so I think it should work

Found this on motorcraft service.

The primary monitoring function is performed by the Independent Plausibility Check (IPC) software, which resides
on the main processor. It is responsible for determining the driver-demanded torque and comparing it to an
estimate of the actual torque delivered. If the generated torque exceeds driver demand by specified amount, the
IPC takes appropriate mitigating action.
