mechanical idle air clarifications

Ok, upon reading and rereading your idle air instructions for mechanical idle I think i could use an nudge in the right direction.

The parts on fn8000 where you say allow 0% duty cycle at 0lb/hr would that mean turn the far left column on the x axis to 0 removing the 10% clip?

And on FN1862 i divided the entire table by 6 and nowhere on it did i get 0.172 as a value in any of the cells. Am i reading this wrong?Tried this on your FBGIO tables for fn1862 to see if maybe craj0 just had bad info in it again and i didnt get 0.172 anywhere on it either. Do you mean the values of the functions will equal out to 0.172 or the it should be a value in the cells of the tables?

yes

the isc multiplier table fn1862 on normal tunes gives you 1.000 at warm stable idle

1.000 / 6 == 0.1667 or rounded to 0.172

Can you give me a little input on that one next then as mine is kind of not a value of 1 lol Could I use the fn1862N table from one of your more developed bins for the 2v PI motor?

it really doesnt make much of a difference what you start from since your going to change all those values anyway when you dial it in

So is fn1862 used to dial in just startup or is it used to dial in the entire idle on the mechanical idle mod? I think I need to reduce my iscd % at idle a little bit and I wasn't sure if I should use fn8000 or fn1862.

fn8000 is the isc transfer. Its a set and forget thing.

All idle air is dialed in using fn1862 the isc multiplier.

Success!!!!! Sort of lol
So my catch can was leaking, had cracked and was sporadically sealing up from the oil in it.
Car now idles, without hunting at 656 and in idle spark loop with no clipping back to FSB min of 10.
When the fans are off and its idling lol. It still goes crazy on the spark whenever I cruise to a stop and rpms drop below 1k or the engine fan kicks on, or the AC system is on.
Ok maybe not success but solid progress lmao.
