Lean spike help!

Unread postby beuchaw94gt » Fri May 22, 2020 4:29 pm

Ok guys so i just finished up installing my Vortech supercharger lightning mass and 42lb injectors, upgrading my rear control arms and subframe connectors. I had the supercharger done before the suspension stuff and never had it lean spike me until after(verified thru my datalogs). Now for some reason when i got WOT everything is fine until i reach 4900-5000 rpm. This is when the lean spike occurs shoot to the 13s afr. It always does it in 1st gear, sometimes second and haven't seen a spike in 3rd. Checking my datalogs everytime it lean spikes it seems to always do it during the same spot. As soon as i see it i get out of it, if i do shift they go back to normal.I do have an X-pipe installed. I don't know if its scavaging. I did notice the Hego on the Pass side drop as the drive side is unchanged(Wideband is on the pass side). I was think it my be shift related since i am running it thru an AODE but unsure. I installed an fuel pressure gauge and pressure is fine. Was thinking maybe turbulence in the intake tube. I really just need some thoughts. I will try to post my last datalog and tune, just need to read how to do it again. I am using B.E. I believe my tune is pretty conservative 11.2 fuel and 10* timing under full boost(9lbs). Let me know what you guys thoughts are.

sounds like it might be related to wheel spin. Are the tires black trackin' at that point ? Or grip is good? Or maybe accel enrichment is off since i'm sure it's blasting through the rpms at a high rate of speed in first gear. I'm just brain storming. Trying to compare things that are different in low gear vs high. The strain on engine is less so it tachs out easier/ quicker.

Thanks man. I pretty sure I'm getting traction. I'll have to check the accel enrichment.
