NRT1 98 explorer 5.0 4r70W

Hello all,
I'm asking to see the options currently, 5-19-2020, on a strategy/ Definition file for the NRT1 calibration. From the searching so far it seems like the support is bleak. So to save my eye sight and 3 more hours of life searching, i thought I'd ask.

Does Core, sailor bob or any other genius have a def file available for the NRT1.. I have BE and QH.. I don't use it much, came across a post where the newest version of BE does support "aftermarket" def files? did I comprehend that correctly? or was it just a glitch for a time?

thank you all!!

Small world, just pulled my ecm out of a drawer today...an nrt1. I've been browsing tuning info for the last two evenings and found this forum today. I like what I've read so far and see that I gotten to the right place. Been sitting on this car for years and my career got in the way of fun stuff in 2006 so all my toys are close to stock or store bought tunes. I want to learn a new skill so I'll be reading more than posting kinda cool slosvo posted this the first day I came across your site.

By "aftermarket" I'm referring about Def files created by Sailor Bob and others that I can't think of their name at the moment. I should have said third party def files... Def files from say Sailor Bob, are not Core Tuning def's.. and have stopped working or no longer work or has that been corrected?

I remember a time when BE was the software to use.. but it seems now after Core buying it, other options are more popular now... Am I wrong on that?

Decipha, What would be the software we/you'd use for this? is the premium section private or can you see other premium members projects and builds? sounds like there would be a wealth of info there, if that were the case.

the only sw i use to tune all fords 1983-2020 is tunerpro

the premium member section is private threads for each person. You can read it and view it and at times in extremely cases some people will reply in other threads when they have something significant to say but its usually private.

Non core tuning defs have always been supported by BE. I have a sailorbob def and a diy def, BE works with both.

The sailor bob def bug was fixed long ago. IIRC, BE changed from 1 or 0 to true or false for a field, breaking backward compatibility. It was fixed.

TP is popular here because of the extra services decipha offers. It has always been about running the software that has a def for your strategy. It was realised that a small number of strategies could could run in place of multiple other strategies on various hardware. So decipha does a minimal number of tweaked defs that can run in lieu of others. On the other hand core do a large number of defs to cover as many strategies as possible.
