Another New Guy

Unread postby Porter » Sat Nov 16, 2019 11:45 pm

Been tinkering my whole life. In fact getting distracted and diving deeply into things that begin above my understanding has made my whole career.

Industrial electrician, specializing in instrumentation and automation/Controls (lamens terms:PLC & SCADA) Its definitely a different level of programming than this low level assembly, but I'm excited to better understand the foundation.

Although, I have some half-ass projects I scabbed together to the best of my understanding at the time, I'm really here because I can't resist learning something that would have otherwise been so far out of my reach, but for someones willingness to share "secrets"

you'll fit right in

my oldest brother is an electrician among-st a programmer as well as many other trades. He's been mostly residential but a few years ago ventured in to the commercial electricial industry doing transformers. He my go-to for anything electrical although I do tinker with electricals myself. I know you can appreciate that I have 3 phase at my residence :)

welcome to the madness. This is by far the most active ford DIY / open source spot on all the interwebs. You'll enjoy your stay.
