CBAZA Breakpoint

Unread postby dleach1407 » Sat Jan 05, 2019 12:27 am

I am having a hard time determining the correct breakpoint setting for my injectors. I am using siemens 80s and am using the ford performance chart for 80s. The data shows 0.0000242100 (lb) for the Fuel_BKPT. The ecu uses 10e-5 Lb/rev. Does that mean move the decimal 5 places so i would have 2.4210 as the breakpoint? If not, how to I convert from lb to lb/rev.

I think i figured it out based on another post using the windows scientific calculator. It said 4 * (breakpoint) * (10^5) which came out to 9.684. This would make sense to me since 4 injectors fire in 1 revolution.

In CBAZA, the injector breakpoint units are lb not lb/rev.

Im am using BE incase it matters.. I am looking at the units specified in the software and it clearly says Units: 10e-5 Lb/rev in the Breakpoint area and LB/hr for the injector slopes. Im pretty sure its LB/rev. Ive found quite a few posts about it but no clear answer how to convert from lb to lb/rev. Infact if i set it to just lbs BE just changes to all zeros because its only 5 places

The definition you are using is wrong. When the injector breakpoint units are in lb/rev this is when the breakpoint value is derived from a function.

As the value is scaled by 10 to the power of minus 5 in the definition you are using you need to apply that scaling before entering your breakpoint value.

Can you clarify what you mean?

I am using a newly downloaded CBAZA.XLS provided by eecanalyzer, I am using a freshly downloaded copy of T4M2 and I have checked for updates in BE. I am not sure what I have wrong. I have gone as far as to open a stock bin and its the same way. The stock 19lb injectors show a breakpoint of 1.00136 with the same x10^-5 lb/rev. I guess i need help understanding how I should convert it. In my original post I asked if I should just move the decimal 5 places or do I need to also multiply that number by 4 since its lb/rev

who ever made your xls file put the wrong description for the units, as derek said cbaza is lbs mass not lbs rev

the stock breakpoint is 0.000010

since its e-5 just notch the value over for your 80s which will be 2.421

Thanks for the clarification. This was the only setting I had a hard time figuring out last time and I lost my previous tune so I didnt have any reference. I also went in and edited the .xls file so it says LB instead of lb/rev.
