I'm planning on installing an EEC-V on a Windsor based engine and want to run coil near plug setup. A lot of EEC-V engines were coil on plug. I don't think these coils would survive near the exhaust manifolds. And LSx coils or smart coils are said to not work with Ford ecus.

Are there non smart coils that are Ford compatible that people are using for CNP setups?

nope just use the ford cop's with an ls1 plug wire on them / done
