Figured Id make a thread.

My wife has a '12 explorer 3.5L with 300k miles she absolutely loves. I just sank $2g in to it last month doing all of the 300k mile major maintenance items. New tires, brakes, alternator, starter, battery, hoses, belt, tensioner, evap etc... Its stock other than a 4" drop and runs excellent. It has been a great vehicle so I was pretty dead set on getting her another.

Last year I told her with that mileage its probably going to start having problems soon so if I could find her a sport under $10G with half the miles I'd swoop it up. Well just so happens I found 2x Ex DPS PIUs out of San Antonio last month (inconviently right after i dropped a "ton" of cash in the 12) so I had to stay true to my word and swooped them both up. Get the pun $2,000 as in ton.

I removed the cage, added key fobs w remote start, fogs w accessory ambient fog markers, 19 sport grill, window tint, a pillar trim, 12" tesla style radio, she likes her tunes so added a JBL component set, 2x kicker L7s, sound deadened everything and added carpet to the spare tire well.

I still have the '13 sport wheels, billet grill inserts, running boards, rear lower valence trim, exhaust tips, front spoiler lip, side view mirrors, 3rd row seat and console to slap in when time allows.

I'll post some better pics once im able to cut and buff it with full paint correction but for now this gives you the idea. The second one is identical as well.

On day 1 I loaded my base 93 premium cal so it can actually chirp all 4 now.

No real plans for it other than an a to b driver as this is what the mrs hauls the mail and grocery gets with. But for what it is its a pretty fun ride.
