2004 Econoline E-350SD - Tuning, Auto-to-Manual

Greetings. - I believe I'm posting in the right spot, as I did not see any model-specific subs covering my application.

I'm preparing for an Econoline 4WD conversion, involving auto-to-manual, and I believe I've sorted out all of the physical / mechanical challenges. The subject vehicle is equipped with a 5.4L 2V / 4R100. At this point, I have the hard parts, but I am seeking to educate myself regarding what other considerations should be made. - I am new to tuning, so this is a learning process.

Though, there will no doubt be more, my initial concerns are:

-Am I able to utilize the stock ECU, and if not, what ECU should I be looking for?

-The ZF6 transmission includes no provision for a speed sensor. - What should be done to facilitate the stock speedometer? - I should add that the rear Dana 60 axle is being replaced with a 2005 10.5 Sterling from the donor truck.

Thanks in advance for comments. - Feel free to add any relevant thoughts.

No prob, specifics are on the homepage for turning off an auto trans as simple as trload tstrat and auto_trns_sw.

Then just adjust dashpot to your taste and good to go.

if the zf6 has no speed sensor at all then you have no speed at all. If you have a speed sensor but different from what the 4r uses then get a dallas speed cal or similar that can convert the signal to what you need for the oss input.
