Just going through the many pages on information that Decpiha has supplied and am somewhat confused.

I am new to Tuner Pro RT and the Quarter horse. I am currently going through the getting started and eec-v base tunes write ups. I have downloaded the base tune, ADX and XDF files and I have changed what I could based on the minimum changes needed per the EEC-V minimum changes write up. I noticed the patches category and there are some there that are obvious like the datalogging patch, the deka 80 patch, disable rear HEGO (incomplete - so should it be used?)

What I am not sure of is if I need the force perload patch. I'm used to SCT and of course this is a steep learning curve for me switching to Tuner Pro RT. It's like learning all over again, which I don't mind.

Any other suggestions you can offer me?

My setup is an on3 turbo 70mm, 4.6 4V with MACH 1 heads, cams (mach 1 exhausts and 96-98 intakes), deka 80 injectors, slot style MAF, no rear HEGO's, no cats, it's auto swapped but running on a quick 4 since I didnt have an auto ECU and didnt understand at the time that they could be tuned to function properly (trans is modded). 3800 stall lock up converter, 3.27 rear gear. WB but have yet to wire it into the ECU (soon)

press f10 in tree view after you open a parameter and it will give you the comments

you dont need the perload patch unless you want it

seems like a pretty simply setup tuning should be straight forward

Yes I'm sure it'll go just fine and if not I'll be hiring you to do it for me! It's just a steep learning curve at the moment regarding the different descriptions than what I'm used to in SCT. I remember feeling the same way when I fisrt stared using SCT. I eventually got familiar with it and was quite comfortable after a while.

I had alot of issues with Datalogging. Specifically with the MTF. I re-organised the Imaf as per your recommendation in a write up I had read. It said to re-number the imaf column....0,25,50,75 etc. I did that and when datalogging the imaf it wouldnt show it as per the renumbering I did. It was still showing it in the previous value....it was somewhere around .065 at idle. Any idea what's going on there with the datalog and why it won't recognise the new value?

Also, I copied some values over from my SCT tuner I had by just copying and pasting. I did this with the MTF and the BDL knock, I changed MBT as per your chart using the boosted value.

All in all I think this will be better than SCT....it's just slow going right now until I get comfortable with finding my way around Tuner Pro RT.

I havent the slightest idea what your referring to about the maf?

It's under your fueling write up about 2/3 down the page. You talk about organizing the MAF points for max resolution...Also it says your histograms are built that way too so it makes sense to me to set mine up that way too...

I said i-maf...I assume thats the same as AD counts?
