anything? anyone?

I'll likely be giving it a shot tomorrow. Class load this week is ugly and chewing up all my free time to tinker with the car :(

I went to go add them to the homepage and I seen I put it there over a year ago but never added the link to the index

it's about a year outdated and the base tunes aren't uploaded yet but ALL the pertinent info is there

http://efidynotuning.com/fbfg2.htm

Its also in the menu on the homepage as well

I found the idle modulation routine, kicked it down 50% and my idle is rock solid at 480 rpm :)

I'll toss up an updated xdf if anyone wants it, ive probably added 200+ parameters since the last posted def

I also added in another hack, i clip the kamrf to no less than 1 at high airmass at wot for safety, works excellent!!!

Good stuff man - I'm in.

I've been running with the previous XDF and it's looking pretty good. There are a couple things which I was using which aren't there... the first one that pops to mind was cylinder 7 global spark adjust too... I wanted to take 2 degrees out on 8 and 1 degree out on 7. It's pretty likely you've got this in the next set of parameters so that's one more thing that would get me closer to ditching BE.

I'm currently taking my BE tune and reading it back into tunerpro, applying the patches, then re-writing it using tunerpro. It's a pain but the patch for the LTFT table to use AM instead of load is beautiful. It's helping me ID where my breakpoint should be with these SD 60's (3.63 is too high, it seems. Running the math puts me at 2.4-2.6)

I've still got transient fueling issues especially when cold but it's getting better.

To get around the KAMRF clipping in the past I just change the entire table to single cells (positive numbers) except the special idle cells. I force OL at any TP where I'd start to get boost, and force OL above 4100 RPM or so (when even slight throttle makes it boost to the moon)... this prevents the updates in the higher load cells, anyway.

yep itll be in there

I highly recommend using half throttle at 2600 rpm or so for wot fuel corrections, with the hack you NEVER have to worry about loosing fuel at WOT but if you need it added it will be

how u like the adx ? I noticed in that last adx i didnt have the kamrfs, i also added a basic view similar to that of the gufb dash on BE for those more comfortable with that, and i wrote down a trans dash that i hadnt done yet, i also had an idea of a cluster dash imma add too, all in due time

i gotta figure out how to get the datalogging table populated so we can automagically populate a fuel pump voltage correction, maf correction, and pct_load corrections

little heads up

I swapped strats on an f150 the other day without clearing kams, not a bright idea

The temp gauge was pegged hot and as a result the low oil/high coolant temp light was flashing, the ecu never cleared the overheat flag because that part of the code was never executed since it never set the code, only the ram for the error was set causing it to freak

I cleared the ram and all went back to normal

I highly advise clearing the ecu before swapping strats (a given) but worth mentioning

Decipha, please forgive this necro. I put many hours into just getting here.
My 99 F150 4.2/m5r2 died unexpectedly and I jumped the gun and got a custom comp cam and QH before I realized what was involved. Now I'm scrambling trying to learn. I'm (trying to) use TunerPro RT with the QH.
I have a lot of questions but foremost I'd like to know if the FBFG2 will work with my ECM (can pull it and get numbers since still waiting on replacement rods). It's factory RBAED/KGA2. A real bitch to pin down. If so, which of your files would work with it? With IMRC delete a 99-00 stang is close to working model. I do plan boost and the bottom is pure 150 (like early ESG-642T info). So, knock sensor is probably critical...
i don't know enough to even ask good questions... Just to get the thing going with everything upgraded, which one of your files would be a good place to start? Say ported top end (stock valve size but extensive work), much bigger than lightning injectors, cam is ugly VS stock (185/203-110 to 216/230-112 with way more aggressive lobes). IMRC delete with return type fuel system. I know carburetors and distributors, half my life working on them - 4 stroke, 2 stroke, rotary... but with EEC tuning I'm lost.
Win lose or draw, thank you for your effort and your... (as mentioned in thread), Ethos. I've been everywhere hunting for info just to tune this thing. Vx forum is "pay me to rape you" and other forum is "go to other forum..." Or... you are too poor for a cobra/lightening, GTFO... V6 die MFr die. Buy a v8. Reminds me of DSM crap. "What? Don't have a rare factory AWD, sell your crap and buy one."
Soz... I come from a long line of those who did, regardless of elites' opinions. Grandfather built shine cars, including smoke screens. Doesn't help with EEC-V, though.
Anyway, thanks for being jive cool. Your quality will not be forgotten.

hey jason, fbfg2 should work for you, none of the pre-done files will be configured correctly for you, if you want I'll post up a startup tune for you to start playing

Would these changes have an impact for me too?

I'll have progress on the knock sensor/reverse lockout soon. I had to pull my interior recently to replace a heater core and while I was there I scooped an extra ECU connector from the junkyard and pinned in the knock sensor connections and reverse lockout solenoid.
