Minimal posts

I just viewed the forum on a public laptop and was completely taken back by how miniscule the posts were. I quickly realized the majority of the posting here happens on the premium member side but never gave it much thought til now.

It also occured to me that no SCT support ?s ever rolls through here.

Does anyone know where tweecer, eeceditor, sct, sniper etc... users turn to for guidance? Seems like a vastly large group thats left out.

lol Is this a sales pitch? how about opening it up for long time members that are not premium?

My guess is they are at the mercy of each individual dyno shop and whom ever works there and get their info from there as well.

can't, there personal information over there and the posts are specific to individuals and their setups so wouldn't do any good for the masses. Disgruntled dudes thread was moved from there to public the other day if you want to check it out to see what I mean.

Yeah I'd imagine they are lurking more than posting? Probably feel left out being the minority.

I click around https://eectuning.org/ just to read. they still stay kind of active. I think most other communities have migrated to FB Groups like the ones below unfortunately.

On a side note, when i talk to other lightning guys that have used you, it's always positive. But I'm also surprised how few people know you're available. I hate to suggest starting a facebook group or similar because it's another place to manage, but idk. I wonder there's a fit to keep up with the trends.

Can premium sections be made read only and no downloads? or are you worried about privacy?

Its under the garage and build threads. Here's the link. viewtopic.php?t=472

I don't use facebook. That wouldn't be ideal either for my specific needs.

Yeah I don't want to publicly post peoples info as some of that gets pretty personal as times. Phone numbers, addresses and info personal life stuff too.

Yeah most of the lightning tuners are specific to just lightnings and use it as a day job. I hate to take away someones livelihood. Back in the day I did a bunch of ghost tuning for some of the tuners that got back logged so there's actually quite a bit of them guys running around on my tunes that don't even know it. Don't get me wrong tho I don't turn them away either if they seek me out but I also make it a point not to offer or post publicly just for that reason. Usually most lightnings guys seek me out or are referred to me when they have issues with other tuners from not having access to specific things they need or if they want something custom or if someone needs something no one else can offer like vin changes or cloning pats codes or being able to edit their existing tunes their tuner won't send them the file for etc... That said, I've probably done over 60 lightnings over the years and probably at least 40 harley trucks so its still quite a bit.

I think Facebook group would be a good idea AS AN EXTRA, specially because most likely we all carry our cellphones all the time and sharing would be easier.
