crank end play should be between 6 and 12. closer to 6 for streeters and closer to 12 for draggers.

Thanks for that info. It is producing less copper dust now but we'll see how long that lasts. Engine is running good but I have a bunch of tuning to do for e85. Do you guys know how much spark I should add and to what tables? I see that the base tune is commanding 60 degrees when in MPG mode.

Ok cool, I'm averaging 6mpg on e85. I'm still dialing in the trans but I'm thinking something is amiss. Was hoping for better than that. I've been staying out of it for the most part.

she is gutless below 2k RPM. I have octane headroom so I did a quick test and locked the timing at 36* from 1250 rpm up and she actually pulls grades below 2k now. I am going to build a new spark table based on the MBT values for my AFR heads. They are listed in the MBT reference as:
Code: Select all
NA Cruise
FORD 302 / 351w 5.0 / 5.8 SB v8 AFR 36 48
Is this at 3k RPM?

Ok cool, im trying to dial it in with the butt dyno for now. Cruising 55mph at around 1600 rpm, load is between 0.7 and 0.8 so the timing was quite late. Ve and spark tables have a massive shift between .8 and .85 load. Is there any way to deal with this or just the way it is with SD and tfs1?

you can rescale the table axis how ever you want

Finally getting around to doing some WOT pulls. trans is shifting early but it looks like it may be due to intake restriction. I am running the stock airbox still. I'm still dialing in fuel and I'm not sure where I am with timing. Any input is appreciated.

I have to re-log this. I checked fuel pressure this morning and it was 39.15 not 30 so I updated the offsets.
