going off scale lean is perfectly fine for the engine and cant hurt anything and is far safer than going off scale rich. You need to read the fuel write up to understand fueling needs better before proceeding.
its not the 4.6 that runs leaner its just probably got more efficient cold combustion so doesnt need as much enrichment as the sbf.
.02 is nothing that 2%. set it to .15 for 15% enrichment. Again simply dial it in, in realtime while the engines running.
Again, you dont have tunerpro setup correctly. Read the getting started write up, your table is upside down.
You also cant leave enrichment in full time, the top most cell (your bottom in that pic) needs to have minimal enrichment when cold and none (0) when hot.

Ok. The 5.0 vehicle and all of the gear, tuning laptop with TunerPro RT, Moates QH etc., are all at my shop which is closed due to extreme weather conditions until January 27th. (No heat, water off at the meter). In the meantime, I'm going back to the beginning of your site,
https://efidynotuning.com/ and start over. When I get to something, I will do my best to search the internet for answers. A lot of the info that I find having to do with Ford tuning is EEC-IV related but some of the information crosses over. I find a lot of helpful responses from 10 to 15 years ago are from you "Decipha".
After two years of working on the vehicle, the trials and tribulations of trying to purchase gear and software during a pandemic and a totally unnecessary war, I'm finally on the first step of the tuning part and anticipate that it will take me about a year to "get it". Understand it.
I'll ask you questions when I can ask the right question to get the right answer. Thanks!
P.S. I'm sticking with the 99 CV pcm and YYA2 bin file on this first project.

Well, I'm a day ahead of where I want to be. I have just done my first Real Time observation. I finally got all of the settings squared away.
It looks lean to me. It looks the best on the EEC-IV dashboard.

Note to Michael P. Several months back, when I was working on the powertrain harness, I guess that you missed the questions and discussion about whether to use a CHT or an ECT. The 1999 4.6 Crown Vic had a CHT. I wasted several hours trying to find a CHT to fit the 5.0. I located a CHT sensor with 10mm threads, cut new threads on it to fit a 3/8" hole on the back of the 5.0 small block head. I added onto the ECT wires, I even asked a question to the Australians about 5.0s ever having a CHT sensor or not, and JSA answered it. I think that my reasons were good (because my 1999 Crown Vic wiring book 104 pin connector had a pin for CHT and not ECT and the actual 1999 CV on my property had a CHT). It would have been nice if someone had chimed in and said that it was fine to go with the ECT sensor. I was thinking ahead when I tapped into the ECT wires and left the ECT connector, so swapping back over to ECT wasn't a big issue at all. If anyone is doing a similar conversion, I hope that you read this in advance and save yourself some time and brain power.

Yeah, I never seen any of that. What's the purpose in doing the CHT if you already had an ECT?
here's that post about not being able to use cht on an ect circuit

One of the many reasons I recommend using the 03/04 luxury sedan ecu is that it can basically do everything. It also supports either/and/or since it has both hardware inputs for ECT and CHT.

This is the first drive xdl of the 5.0 being operated by the 1999 Crown Vic pcm with Michael's stock CRAI8 file. No adjustments have been made to the tune. In open loop, to me it seems a bit lean but I'm not experienced with any stock readings (pcm with the engine it's suppose to have) so I have nothing to compare to. If OL on the dashboard means that it is in Open Loop, I've never got an indication that it is switching to Closed Loop. I'm having shifting problems but I anticipated that. Tire size etc. has not been adjusted yet. From watching the ECT, it makes me wonder if someone has put a real low temp thermostat. Maybe a 160F. I have not opened the t-stat housing to see. I just got all of the air burped out of the cooling system. I'll have to check that out when I have time and can go through that task.
Here is over an 11-minute xdl file of the first drive.

This is the first hot drive xdl. It runs lean like it doesn't want to get up and go. Wideband gauge matches what is on the TunerPro RT dashboard.
The transmission shifts terribly. Hopefully what is set at in the bin file is correct. I'm new at this so I don't know too much about what I'm looking at here. If one or more of you more experienced guys that is running a CRAI8 strategy checks out this xdl file, tell me what you think is going on. I don't see it going into CL mode.

the bottom right of the dash shows you have 5 codes. Probably something is setting a major fault preventing it from going in to closed loop and correcting your fuel.

The codes are,
P0357 Ign coil G-problem
P0354 Ign coil D-problem
P0141 O2 bank 1, sensor 2 partially switched off, maybe need to switch off a testing flag ?
P0161 O2 bank 2, sensor 2 it has been eliminated too
P1409 vacuum regulator solenoid circuit, was eliminated during EGR deletion
On the dashboard, Is there anything indicating whether the VSS is functioning or not?

the vehicle speed
rear o2 codes are useless
the coil codes are your major problem
