dpfe EGR order of operations

Unread post by redtopracer »

Needing to know the order of operations and modifiers for the dpfe egr system ford used

trying to setup a ms3x to mimic the stock system, but I realized I only know the absolute basics of the DPFE system and it is not a simple system lol.

SO egr is active during PT, is it always active during PT? is there any modifiers for ECT and IAT? Does it stop operating over a certain RPM or load in PT?

Is the DPFE used explicitly to verify funciton or is it used to more accurately increase spark advance with less chance of knock by quantifying the actual EGR flow?

What kind of advance do the PI 4.6's usually take with EGR over not? Is the fuel only modified through the EGO controls or is there a separate fuel table too?

Guessing that LTFT with EGR is stored, but is it stored with an EGR active flag or blended into the regular tables?

So many damn questions, but I needs the MPG

TIA.

You are most welcome.

Cliffnotes say read the manual!

I read them long ago and often refer to them still. I don't recall the dpfe specifics. I suggest searching for dpfe in the document text to cut down the volume of reading.
