FBFG2 strategy?

European strategy specific for 2004 ford mustang euro spec but also modified by SVT and used on the 03/04 cobra. Can be used on all 2002-2004 mustang v8 and v6 manual and automatics. Supports automatic 4r70w control. Can be used on 2001-2004 ford F-150 4.6 / 5.4 ecu's if configured correctly as well.

I'm confused lol. Then the one you posted has been modified to work properly with the FBGI0 strategy?

Hmm... then something's borked. I uploaded it to my QH as is, and at key on, no fuel pump. On the MGZT file as downloaded from the '[FBGI0] Strategy Files' thread, when I change only these parameters, I get 100% proper fuel pump operation (compared to the operation on the FBFG2/PTP2 that was like 95%):

Code: Select all

Flag: PATS_DISABLE changed from Not Set to Set..
Scalar: RFS_TYPESEL - Pump Type changed from 2 SW (0x02) to 0 SW (0x00).
Scalar: RFS_TYPESEL - Pump Type changed from 2 SW (0x02) to 0 SW (0x00).
Scalar: RFS_TYPESEL - Pump Type changed from 2 SW (0x02) to 0 SW (0x00).
Patch: RF_MODE - Pump Fixed Duty Cycle (RFS_Pump_Type, RFS_TYPE_SELECT) changed.
Scalar: RF_DC_CAL - Pump DC Return Style (FP_TYPESEL) changed from 0.70000 %dc (0xB333) to 0.00000 %dc (0x0000).
When I look at the tune file you posted, all of those values are set to the above 'to' values, but I get zero from the fuel pump - no pump, no relay buzzing, nothing. I've tried 'un-setting' and 're-setting' values, but nada. Any thoughts?

MFP_PERIOD from 0 to 0.00667

Ok, so I found and changed 'MFP_PERIOD' from 0 to 0.00666 and now I have fuel pump and it starts and runs... But it behaves the same as the FBFG2 PTP2 in that at key on, the fuel pump runs indefinitely, rather than shutting off after a second or three. I'm ASSuming You have a script to convert a FBFG2 BIN to be compatible with the FBGI0 strategy, and if that's the case, something goofy from my original tune is coming over. If I'm wrong and that's not the case, any idea why the fuel pump works 100% properly with the MGZT file and six parameters changed, but the same parameters with the same values on the FBFG2/PTP2/Auto FBGI0 files result in different behavior?

do you have the FPDM wired in?

The XTALHPS scalar needs to be changed from 3 to 4 as well.

Didn't realize XTALHPS got changed from 4 to 3... Corrected that but no change. Changed RF_DC_CAL from 0 to .999 and at 0 I get immediate fuel pump on forever, and with .999 in it, I get a buzzing relay for a second or three and then fuel pump forever. No, There is no FPDM involved. Just straight PCM to CCRM like the original Cougar PCM was wired. I had thought about wiring in a FPDM and have one around here somewhere, but when all is needed is a plain +12 to the pump, why over complicate things? What has me scratching my head is with the MGZT tune and those six parameters changed, it works 100% perfect. Too bad it's apparently not just one switch to turn the MGZT tune from a manual tune to an auto tune.
