p1000 Emissions readiness

Used only on the 03/04 Marauder but can be used on any 03/04 ecu with code changes. Uses newer style SCP array so will not control cluster correctly on 2004 and older fords that use the older style SCP array such as mustangs.

p1000 Emissions readiness

Unread post by p4ndiamond »

Thusfar i got the car lined out everything runs great.

I have 4 cats 4 o2 sensors working , evap , egr etc.

I am stuck trying to get inspected in texas and can't get the readiness for emissions to clear out. Is there a way to get this to correct . i saw some flags for the P1000 code but those don't change anything with the readiness flags. those remain the same. Trying to get it compliant so it passes inspection so i can get a drivers license here. Didn't realize it would be such a pain .

Thanks !

P1000 just means its still waiting for the readiness checks to either pass or fail.
Every time the battery is disconnected the ECU has to re-run and pass these monitors.
If a system fails the readiness check you'll get an actual trouble code. If it passes, the P1000 disappears.

In the mean time, you should be able to see what readiness monitors have completed and passed and what monitors it's waiting on.

Once you know which system isn't ready, you can operate vehicle in a manner that replicates the conditions the ECU is looking to help speed the process up.

Post the monitors that haven't passed.

Right. Currently the O2 EVAP and catalysts have not passed yet. they are stated as incomplete.

I have no pending CEL and no CEL at all checked with forscan and Torque . The monitors have not come ready after a few drive cycles and just say incomplete .

I think most cars won't test evap if the fuel tank is near full or near empty. The sweet spot is around 80% - 20% full.
The cat monitor typically requires a long steady cruise with minimal hills.

Got the O2 finally to clear now waiting on the cat monitor to pull through. hard to find open road in houston to cruise . folks drive ignorant in the city lol. Out on a highway run through a back road to see if it will cooperate . still not CEL of any type .

The cat monitor may have needed the 02 monitor to set first.

+1 on the fuel level. EVAP also may not set if IAT isn't in a certain range and can require multiple overnight sits of more than 8 hours. It's usually the last to set.

So far so good. Got CAT to set and passed my inspection . EVAP is still inop . May come up tomorrow after another 8 hr soak . I found that some parameters due to the new MAF for Min /Max Load to test cats as well as RPM were below the threshold possible to attain a good test . I bumped those up and it took in about 15 min .

I found a bunch of stuff in your tune that could use some adjustment. Looks like you have 60lb injectors? Are those the ford racing siemens deka 60lb injectors?

You didn't have the 2 step and rpm hard limiter removed
You were using the outdated mini fn2200 spark table instead of the large one which is especially helpful for boost
stoich set to 61% ethanol ?
700 on up in the maf curve looks all jacked up
your commanding more spark in the bdl table than in the mbt table?? looks like your clipped by mbt
your pump voltage table wasn't scaled evenly in order to dial it in
you set the shift delays to 0, that'll cause mechanical transmission damage
You disabled act spark retard at wot up top ??
fn1036 table is jacked up
Did you verify the engine wants 26 degrees up top at WOT? Most boosted 4v's don't want any more than 20 on pump gas
or 23 at the most on ethanol.
Some of your alternator stuff is corrupted and you also have the outdated datalogging code.

Post your current tune and I'll post back with it adjusted.
