LXT0 vs LLX4 for 32v 4.6

Unread post by Quicksilver427 »

I am working on a 4.6 4V conversion for my fox. I am using a motor from an 03 Aviator. I am having difficulty assessing which ecm is right for my project. I am currently looking at a LXTO for a 99-01 Cobra and a LLX4 for a 96 Cobra. It's my understanding that both of these were used to run the 4V engines. My engine is coil on plug and the 96 Cobra was not. I am having a difficult time figuring out how to compare different eec-v ecms. I figured it would be easiest to start with a ecm that closely matches my motor. The LLX4 ecm is significantly less expensive however I don't want to find out later I should have purchased a newer ecm. Advice on which ecm to purchase would be appreciated.
