Setting up A9L2 from recent download.
When I changed SARCHG to 347, I noticed the comment said to update FKARCH and FKARC1.
FKARCH had 0.99
FKARC1 had 0.20
The comments had instructions to calculate using manifold volume. My intake is Edelbrock Victor Jr part #29215, which is a single plane carb intake with injector bungs welded at every port. I did searches and found manifold volume was 2.7 to 2.8 liters, but in newer strategies it said to use 3.5 liters because this intake behaves like a larger EFI intake.
Honestly I didn't understand what to feed into the equation in the comment. My engine ran quite well on the factory A9L tune. No stumbling or bogging on tip in. So I opened a stock A9L to see what these value are.
FKARCH - 0.2
FKARC1 - 0.25
I entered these values into my A9L2 bin as a starting point. Should I have left those values untouched? How do you properly tune these values?
A9L2 - FKARCH and FKARC1

Engine is 302 bored & stroked to 347
Mass Flow EFI set up. Designed to look like a 1960"s carb. Air filter on top of a 1000 cfm throttle body that resembles 4 barrel carb. MAF inside air cleaner. I have removed air filter & MAF. Put a "Hat" on and extended pipe. Put a PMAX HPX mass flow meter in the pipe. 36 lb/hr injectors. Fuel Return with regulator.
ECU-IV A9L
Edelbrock Performer heads
Edelbrock single plain Victor Jr intake with drilled and welded port injection
Comp cam 35-000-8 hydraulic roller
intake 0.550 lift duration @0.006 = 287 Opens 12 BTDC Close 44 ABDC
exhaust 0.576 lift duration @0.006 = 293 Opens 55 BBDC Close 7 ATDC

Re: A9L2 - FKARCH and FKARC1
definitely put them back to the a9l2 values
the transient table is where youll make all transient adjustments
those notes are outdated so disregard
As a side note the manifold volume scalar in the new strategies has absolutely no relation to manifold volume at all. Its a calibrate-able pump shot for tip in but more significantly for tip out duration. Thats just a lil unrelated FYI.
