85 Mustang 4-Eye GT Hatchback Speed Density Tuning
I have just bought my first Fox-Body a week ago and i am very exited to tune it the first time through Speed Density setup.
Modifications Parts:
* New refreshed 87 Mustang 5.0 engine swap, T5 Transmission with speed density using the EEC-IV SFI-SD1 ( E7SF-12A650-C1A) "DC".
*98 Cobra Differential with Axels and 5 Lug conversion and Cobra 2-pistons brake system. Stock Gear ratio.
* BBK Cold Air Intake to the fender.
* BBK LT Headers with custom 2.5 X-Pipe and Flowmaster mufflers.
* E-303 Cams
* MSD 6AL part number (6420) with Performance TFI Coil and Ford Racing Spark red cables.
* Stock Intake Manifold, Stock Throttle Body, Stock 19 lb Injectors.
* Planning soon to install the Trick Flow manifold or the lower edelbrock intake manifold with edelbrock Big elbow and 90 mm TB. Which one you will recommend?
I tried to open the strategy code (DC) through my SCT Advantage software but i couldn't. So, My option either to go with following:
*Binary Editor
*Quarter horse
*Tuner Pro
*SCT Eleminator Chip but the issue i cannot find the DC strategy code and i will be limited with tuning. correct me if i am wrong.
*Stand alone system not my option for this moment.
I am looking for a reliable tuning software with datalog that will allow me to tune the vehicle perfect even when i plan to stroke it and have power adder in the near future.
The vehicle right now super rich and i can smell the gas with burning my eyes at Idle and cruise lol.
what do you recommend me to choose and start dialing my tune using a Def. file with the same of my setup?
Do you think going with MAF conversion and A9P or A9L ECU is a good idea or waste of money ?
Thanks for your advice.

Best bet is to upgrade to the 94/95 gt automatic ecu with the quarterhorse and tunerpro.

Sounds good. Do you have the strategy codes of the 94/95 GT ECU to look around for them? Can you explain why the best bet is to go with automatic ECU? Why not manual? Just for my knowledge i would like to know the reason.

auto ecu is cheaper easier to find and has more hardware so u can run a 4r70w later down the line too

Ok good. When i replaced the ECU do i need Ford dealer to reprogram the ecu with my VIN # like the new edge and new stangs? or is there away to configure it.
