Using 4150 style throttle body

Unread post by AcesArneson »

Ok, looks like I overlooked a few things when I was planning out this build. The 4150 style throttle body I purchased from Edelbrock uses GM style connections for IAC and TPS. Will these work with an EEC-V ECU? Do I have to change out to the Ford style IAC and TPS or is there a way to make the GM stuff work?

the tps is fine but the iac would need to be swapped

What about using a PMW to step converter like this one from Megasquirt? https://www.efisource.com/wp/docs/Micro ... dapter.pdf

Or this one from Classic Fuel injection? https://www.classicfuelinjection.co.uk/pwm2stepper

would be easier to just use a remote mounted iac

Decipha, one question about using a GM TPS. The pinout for GM says to go to sensor ground with the signal return. Should I take it to ECU ground or Signal Return?

GM uses full sweep tps so you should take it to full ground to prevent hurting the sig ret circuit.

but ideally it would be sig ret just not when using GM stuff.

Also make sure the tps max limit is kicked up to not set a tps fault everytime you go wot.
