FC-V fan control

For all other non specifically listed ECU tuning. This would include can-bus ecu's such as powerpc copperhead tricore and siemens ecus. As well as GM, Dodge or any aftermarket controller tuning etc...

FC-V fan control

Unread post by cj428mach »

I'm working on a godzilla swap and the godzilla body harness has only an FC-V fan wire on the PCM thats located on Pin #4 of the PCM plug. The godzilla originally had a clutch fan that it was able to control with the PCM. Is there any way to make the PCM control an electric fan? I'm wondering if I could just wire up a Ford Fusion soft start fan controller that uses a PWM ground signal to control the fan, but I'm not sure what FC-V wire is putting out? Power? Ground?

Also on the transmission harness there is a Fan Speed sensor wire would that need to be hooked up to something to keep the PCM happy?

Is there a way to have the PCM control a relay to just engage an electric fan?

Thanks

That maybe the way to go, but I was hoping for something fancy controlled by the PCM. Some how Ford has electric fans in their 7.3 Godzilla control pack.
