Marine definition
How hard is it to develop a definition a definition for the marine eec-iv? I have a definition for mine with BE that’s locked down as a one off, but it’s not really helpful for others that want to tune these setups.
I guess if you can’t get a new quarterhorse it may not add value
No emissions, no AC, no ps, no o2s. Just a basic speed density setup with 24lb injectors. Full time open loop.

Re: Marine definition
Not hard just time consuming.
Most of the speed density stuff can be tuned with a1c or c9c1 especially if its just open loop where fueling doesn't really matter.

Re: Marine definition
These EEC use EFI-MA39C. Would A1C or C9C1 work with that hardware code?

Re: Marine definition
I’ll see how the bin opens on that def.
One more question on these. For guys just needing stock replacements, You can’t get a reman ecu anymore. Guys are chipping mustang ECUs with the same hardware code and the oem tune to get a working replacement. With Moates going under I guess SCT chips are the only way to keep this up. But is there a way to program the eprom?

Re: Marine definition
its not going to open in that def with anything usable as its a different strategy
moates was the only eprom programmer that I knew of although that was a hush hush operation not publicly known

Re: Marine definition
ty. so just start with a fresh base tune on either the A1C or C9C1, through it on a chip and plug it into the oem ecu and see what it does? nothing else i can check before? wiring diagrams?

Re: Marine definition
What if you use an 86-88 ecm from a speed density mustang and just crank up the fuel pressure to simulate the 24 pounders.

Re: Marine definition
wiring on all eec-iv speed density of that era should all be the same but yeah wouldn't hurt to check
load the file on there and log with it and see if it polls usable data and doesn't freak out then you can see if the inputs and outputs are functioning correctly
