Stalling out at engagement
I'm sure that I'm chasing my tail here. The past week my car has been stalling when engaging into gear at warm temp. I found the write-up on the fn371 and leaning out fueling at warm operating temp. I always make sure car is up to at least 170 degrees before rolling out. Problem is that I haven't been able to get IPSIBR within that 0.000 - 0.050 spot. Am I chasing my tail here?

No if its stalling then its probably going lean so you need to enrich it more not lean it out.

Re: Stalling out at engagement
The idea is to keep adding fuel until it's happy? Also I did put a looser stall in the trans, would that have any engagement effect?

Re: Stalling out at engagement
yeah if it conks out on engagement and your idle isc multiplier in drive is somewhere in the ballpark then the only other variables are spark and fuel. Leaning out on engagement is common and will cause a stall even on newer vehicles. The coyotes for example I add enrichment on engagement to prevent stalling on them in bone stock form.

No you would do it with the torque reserve scalar

Re: Stalling out at engagement
Think I found the issue. I had to put a stock style fuel regulator on because my adjustable one was too tall to fit box intake. We'll, base fuel pressure jumped to 45psi unplugged and 40psi plugged. Did a quick olmcl and took out 5% and car will engage. Going to multiple slopes by 1.05

Re: Stalling out at engagement
Appreciate the help. Car is engaging every time. I multiplied slopes and still had to take out 10% of fn371 just to get it in gear. I'm going to change oil and see how my fueling error is with changes.

Re: Stalling out at engagement
I just put my old intake and adjustable regulator back in. I had to take 16% fuel out of fn371 with other setup. Got the car to engage good but was dumping way too much fuel under boost. Multiplying slopes helped fuel until boost hit. Once preload hit .750 ish it goes pig rich. I'll punt and kick on this setup and go back with old that worked.
