ISC Multiplier Table Epiphany

Unread postby decipha » Wed Jan 24, 2018 4:46 am

way back when i decided to the mechanical idle control i didn't devise a way to make the isc multiplier actual iscdc which is what i wanted. Given the constraints of a typical isc valve flowing 2.3 lbs/min i figured with a max multiplier of 3.98 setting fn875 to .6 would give me full range which is does.

Well im going through some code for the old speed density trucks and it hit me like an ah-duhh moment. All one has to do is set the isc transfer to output the input, thus .98 lbs/min == .98dc and 0 = 0

then simply set fn875 to 1, although its lbs/min the isc multiplier table is a multiplier so effective it makes fn875 a multiplier of 1 nullifying it out

then just plug in the iscdc you desire in the isc multiplier table, any multiplier * 1 lb/min == lbs/min, with the isc transfer being pass through x in = x out thats exactly what you'll get
