2010 Mustang ROUSH 427R Supercharged Max Spark Timing limit

Hi everyone,

I would like to know what is the maximum ignition timing limit for the Roush 427R M90 Supercharger with 93 octane only and with Snow performance Methanol?

Because we have the timing set in WOT to 16 degrees for 93 gasoline only and the car seems want more and we set the timing with 19 degrees runing the methanol without detonation.

Car made 390 rwhp and 404 torque in dynojet.
Fuel pump duty cycle maxed out at 96% and i see after removing the gas pedal it will spike to 150%.

The car has 2.4" supercharge pulley @ 6psi, BBK LT Headers W' cats deleted, stock 38lb injectors, stock fuel pump and stock CAI. The maximum load i can see 1.4 only.

you can probably go to 24 degrees without knock but its not needed. The engine probably isnt going to want anymore than 18 degrees or so at 6psi. 16 degrees is usually the max power spark advance for boosted 3v's on pump gas.

pump duty cycle at closed throttle can be ignored

the m90 is far too small of a blower for a v6 let alone a v8. If you want more out of it youll need a bigger blower.

Yes that's what I figure out that the Roush 427R will take a little more than 19 but I wasn't sure it will take 24 which sound to much for me and might be risking the stock bottom end. The car made with this modification at 16 degrees of timing 375 rwhp and 403 rwtq @ 11.5 A/f ratio and with 19 degrees it made 388 rwhp and 404 rwtq at 11.8 A/F ratio in dynojet.

Is it a good number with the setup?
we were shooting for 420 rwhp but I think we need to upgrade the fuel pump and injectors from 38lb to 42lb.

I agree with you that the M90 is too small blower and we need to have the roush 2300 blower.

Also I would like to know which tables play a roll in increasing the mpg fuel economy, the borderline knock table and Base Fuel Table right?

if it only gained 1 ft lb with 3 degrees of timing u need to pull that timing out at peak tq

3 degrees giving you only 13hp is not worth the trade off. Pull 2 degrees and call it done.

the injectors are fine just command 65psi at wot. Yeah youll need more pump. A stock coyote pump will do or an aeromotive 440 would be fine.

fuel tables dont function in closed loop. just make sure shes at stoich in closed loop at cruise with typical timing at cruise and she'll do all she can fuel economy wise.
