DBW retrofit to cable

Unread postby ranga83 » Thu Aug 22, 2019 8:24 pm

Just seeing if it can be done and if so, what needs to be changed in the tune. Spanishoak ecu running an rb30. Want to deleted the DBW and run a cable throttle. Is this possible?
Cheers

anything is possible but you will have to rig up an idle air control valve and a throttle position sensor

Thats possible.
Has a tps, can get it running and reving to about 3000rpm (edit was just informed itll rev to redline.) but spark wont exit idle feedback.
Is there a way to force part throttle spark?

Ill find out 100% the setup when i go out to it on monday. But afaik, there is no iac atm, they are just trying to get it running. Currently it doesnt have a pedal tps, only the on on the throttlebody. It starts and runs, can rev to redline, however spark is stuck in idle feedback. As from what i can see the ecu uses pedal state to transition from closed throttle to part throttle.
Is there a way to force part throttle from startup? Once we get over that issue we can fine tune any additional parts that we will need

on powerpc there is 4 RATIV functions you can set very low to force it in to part throttle

what software are you using to tune? what is the strategy name or cal code id ?

if you can't access those functions you will have to turn the tps sensor so its voltage is high and it forces it in to part throttle

you may do better failing the tps out right and working on the failed tps controls to infer throttle position
