Slight Hesitation

Unread postby vortechblown306 » Wed May 21, 2014 7:50 pm

First of all thank Decipha for coming up with this tune and all the writeup's to help guide along the way. Ok first try on the new A9L2 (had old one) I am getting a hesitation when first stepping on the throttle. I remember going through this before one the old one but I cant remember what I changed to smooth out the throttle it only does it when first stepping on the gas peddle. What am I missing here?? Its cal'd for fms 30lb injectors with a 30lb mass air cal.

I had the same issue and it was fixed by going through the idle air 101.

ABSOLUTELY AGREED! Just wanted to echo my thanks as well. I am looking forward to getting to the point where I can answer more questions than I ask ... all in time! Thanks Decipha.

vortechblown306 - Unfortunately, I am not able to provide guidance, but I will be following as this likely relates to AE and/or transients, which the area I need to now dive into to solve a related problem.

Well I think my fuel is pretty good. I'm not datalogging the LM-1 but I can look and drive at the same time at WOT. But it does jump really fast at idle to pushing on the gas and thats when it delays, it doesnt do it all the time, my mustang runs pretty cold I'm wondering if I'm going from closed loop to open loop. If this is the case where would I change the temp to a lower setting to throw it in closed loop? Would it be TEMPFB?

I think this is a WOT pull in 2nd or 4th

I'd dial in my idle air if I were you. Small changes made a big difference on mine.

Thanks! I ended up going back to my previous idle air tune and it seemed alot better but at the same time I cleared the KAMRF and changed the load scaling all at the same time! She is running damn good now. I hopped in my 393 stroker and it brought me back to reality lol.... I smell turbo or back to s/c in the future for the little 306.
