I've tried the A9L2 twice now entering my specifics from scratch with no luck, it just doesn't want to run well or idle.

I entered all my specifics into the stock A9L and made changes to many items to match the A9L2. It starts and idles like a stock 5.0L. Just for fun I set the idle to 600 RPM, a healthy 408W sounds mean idling that low. I now have it set at 750 RPM.

It drives and pulls well up to 4000 rpm when I can feel a slight hesitation, it keeps pulling to redline after that

Can the stock A9L be easily modified to only use the A9L2 FN200 spark table?

How would I accomplish this?

what your describing doesnt make any sense

post the a9l tune you run with no probs and your a9l2 tune so we can see you must be doing something wrong

you have the global fuel multiplier scalar STOICH_AFR set to 13 in your a9l tune

I was experimenting with 13:1 AFR to see if it would be a easy way to richen it up in closed loop.

Did you see anything in the A9L2 as to why it won't idle or drive well?

I'm going to give the A9L2 another try tomorrow.

Just to clear up a few things.

For peak load scaling FN035, I did a 2nd gear pull and logged the LOAD.

At 5200 RPM load indicated 1.01

So I just input that 1.01 number into the FN035 table at 5200 RPM?

What ever # the load logged gets inputted into the corresponding RPM slot? I have read talk about the histogram but do not understand what needs to be done with that.

yep u can do that

also, if you look at perload at that given rpm it will tell u the correction percentage since it should be 1.000, if you multiply the current load value in fn035 by the logged perload value it will give u the same LOAD value you are supposed to plug in there

does that make sense?

the histogram logs perload at wot so u can see perload and use it as the correction percentage since its the same thing

Yes that does make sense.

Now in regards to MAF, I am thinking it is the same procedure? I think I have seen you reference using Hist_FuelErr or is is Hist_MAF?

Take that logged value and multiply the current MAF kg?hr values?

I have also just wired in my AEM wideband to pin 27 so tunerpro rt logs the reading.

So that should make it easier to dial in the fuel now.

Hist_MAF is the histogram for the MAF

Hist_FuelErr is the histogram for the fuel error, EXACT SAME AS Hist_MAF except that its got more than 1 column so you can see the fuel error at different maf cts for different RPMs.
Hist_FuelErr is to visually see how well your injectors are dialed in and if when/where it needs correction to the injectors to help dial them in.

Today was a step in the right direction.

I entered the MAF and Perload corrections in.

The A9L2 started up and idled well. I took it for a drive and it seemed to run well.

Unfortunately there was a complete dead spot when giving it anything more than like 10% throttle. It almost seemed like the engine was shutting off for a fraction of a second.

Again nothing was changed on the engine itself from yesterday when it was running amazing on the modded A9L.

I have a log of when I was making it happen so it would be recorded.

Mind having a look?

Should I start a new thread so not to junk up this one?

I figured this one out. Had 1 bad MAF kg/hr point.

Runs much better now.
